The Tramp had a bad day

Tramp fell in twice today, surprised it hasn't happened before. Jumped from the bow as I was tying up to do a locking. Fished him out and he ran off, managed to get him on the lead and back on boat where he ran strait through the boat still with lead attached and did the same thing trying to jump of the Sturn. Spent the rest or the day confined to his bed down below.
Then this evening after tying up for the night I let him off to go for a walk and he somehow stuck his face in a burdock and got covered in burrs which I then had to pull off his face. Not a happy doggy.

It's mine all mine.

Well today I parted with the dosh and Penarrow is now officially mine. So I suppose this is where the adventure begins. Yesterday a friend @luggermatt and his mate came up from Sussex and we went over the boat, I wanted an unblinkerd opinion before a parted with any money. We found a couple of very minor things that needed looking at but all in all she's in very good nick and a credit to the previous owner.

When it came to the BSC test the guy found a few things. The main being a gas pressure drop indicating a leak, the yard went through the whole system and put it all right. The rest of the things were little and minor or thing needing replacing through wear or age all of which I shall do myself. Shall be replacing the battery's for the sealed variety, they are on their last legs. As otherwise I would have to find a way of venting the locker. As it is the new regs say the have to be strapped down.

I've now been all through the boat polishing the woodwork and brass. Had the curtains laundered vacuumed all the lockers. Stowed a goodly supply of  vittles, organic cider and claret so apart from fuel and water I'm ( we're, mustn't forget The Tramp) ready to go.
